Did Vanguard pay to have one of their people at your meeting to explain their program?  Do they send someone to your school to explain about investment management or retirement planning?  What internal services are provided by Vanguard vs VALIC or ING?  The Plan Services Agreement with the school district for each company will tell a lot.  Things not covered by 403b Compare.  School districts are having to pay now for administrative costs of their retirement plans.  It will be interesting to see what the true costs of total service will be.  When the dust settles, will Vanguard be a low cost player in the 403b market?&lt;BR/&gt;&lt;BR/&gt;It is true that VALIC, as an AIG company, uses Vanguard for their retirement plan.
